Mission

To carry out the necessary consultations in order to ensure coordination of the measures taken or proposed by Member States in the event of difficulties arising in the supply of crude oil and petroleum products.

Task

Monitors the development of national policies and the enforcement of EU legislation by national authorities
The Group also meets in normal oil supply conditions in order to update data on stock levels. Meetings are also used for presenting and discussing energy-related Community initiatives.
