To ensure cooperation and coordination on general matters relating to archives and to follow-up the work referred to in the ‘Report on Archives in the enlarged European Union’ (COM52). The Group will take particular account of the priority measures referred to in point B of the Council Recommendation 2005/835 of 14 November 2005 (OJ L312 of 29.11.2005) and the policy areas defined in the Progress Report to the Council (COM500).
